With the reunification of Germany in 1989/1990, the Soviet Army agreed to return all military bases by 1994. Returned to the Federal Government of Germany in 1992, Cargolifter AG bought the former military airfield to construct airships. They began development of a new construction hall, 360 metres long, 210 metres wide and 107 metres high, which cost €78 million. At 5.5 million m³ (194 million ft³), it is one of the largest buildings on Earth by volume, and is the world's largest single hall without supporting pillars inside. The hangar was commissioned as an airship hangar named Aerium in November 2000, but the airship it was intended to house – the CL160 – was never built. CargoLifter went bankrupt in mid-2002.

To comply with the current European standard EN 1972 (2015), a snorkel for users with larger lung capacities should not exceed 38 centimeters in length and 230 cubic centimeters in internal volume, while the corresponding figures for users with smaller lung capacities are 35 cm and 150 cc respectively.[3] Current World Underwater Federation (CMAS) Surface Finswimming Rules (2017) require snorkels used in official competitions to have a total length between 43 and 48 cm and to have an inner diameter between 1.5 and 2.3 cm.[4] A longer tube would not allow breathing when snorkelling deeper, since it would place the lungs in deeper water where the surrounding water pressure is higher. The lungs would then be unable to inflate when the snorkeler inhales, because the muscles that expand the lungs are not strong enough to operate against the higher pressure.[5] The pressure difference across the tissues in the lungs, between the blood capillaries and air spaces would increase the risk of pulmonary edema.
Choose a beach spot that is alive, meaning it has lots of fish and corals to see. If you pick a dead or boring spot for your first time, you likely will not understand why people like doing this. And the most popular spots that everyone goes to, are most likely not the best spots (because all the traffic has killed the reef). Still, don't go out alone (always have a partner no matter what). When you are new, it is comforting to see other snorkelers on the water before you get in so you can get a sense of what the conditions might be like.
Swim Slowly! Exhaustion is a common problem for first time snorkelers. Swimming takes a good bit of energy. The trick with snorkeling is to stay relaxed and calm. You can wipe yourself out quickly if you are not careful. Only swim at a speed that allows you to breathe slowly and easily through your snorkel. Your snorkel does limit your breath, so keep your activity level at a pace that does not demand heavy breathing. Your fins will make it much easier. Learn to just float without effort. Only swim rapidly if necessary for safety.

Depending on the style of bikini-bottom and the amount of skin visible outside the bikini,[246] pubic hair may be styled into several styles[236][237][238] — American waxing (removal of pubic hair from the sides, top of the thighs, and under the navel), French waxing (leaves only a vertical strip in front), Brazilian waxing (removal of all hair in the pelvic area, particularly suitable for thong bottoms).[247]
Surfing was introduced to San Diego at Ocean Beach in 1916 when a local lifeguard borrowed a board from Duke Kahanamoku (although it's possible that George Freeth surfed there between 1907 and 1909).[14] By 1966, the sport was sufficiently established that the World Surfing Championship was held in O.B. Nat Young won the event and was named world surfing champion.[15]

This Vedic island has one of the most distinctive cultures in the world. It’s incredibly popular with digital nomads, backpackers and expats. If you are interested in meditation, yoga and exploring new possibilities, this is the place to live your fairy tale. There are ancient temples everywhere, beaches and surf that stretches for miles, mist-draped mountaintops and breathtaking rice terraces.
To measure your foot length, sit down on a chair and place your foot flat on a piece of paper. Trace the foot by holding a pencil vertically and outlining the foot. The longest toe and back of heel are the most important measurements. Using a ruler, measure the distance from the bottom of the heel to the tip of the longest toe. Record the result in both inches and centimeters and use these measurements to find your size in the chart. If one foot is larger than the other, the measurements for the larger foot should be used.
1. This is one of my favorite spots in the city to relax and run! Running on Ocean Beach bare foot is a wonderful exercise. The smooth sand stimulates all the nervous and muscles on your feet and legs. 2. A big space for group activities. If you plan to use the fire pit, definitely get there early to get one. I haven't had the need to use one yet, but they are always occupied whenever I am there, especially on weekends. 3. Best place to see the sunset and ocean waves in the city. Many surfers like to surf here because of the waves and it is easily accessible. 4. You get to see many species of seabirds including cormorant and pelican. The beach is usually clean and many critters such as jellyfish and sand dollar can be found on the beach.
One of the Cyclades islands, Santorini’s distinctive beauty has been captured on film and in paintings. Its submerged caldera, towering cliffs, whitewashed buildings and romantic beaches rejuvenate your senses and put you in the mood for love. The Red Beach of Santorini is unlike any other in the world. Its mesmerizing red cliffs and dark red sand look striking against the blue waters. The town of Oia is one of the most iconic and beautiful locations on the island. It is where all the incredible mountainside photo are taken that you’ve been drooling over. Athens to Santorini is around 45 minutes by flight. (Read about other amazing Mediterranean islands).

I awoke at six when the babies in nearby tents did, and then again, at seven, when the heat became too much to bear. Exhausted and frazzled, I walked to breakfast. At the next table, a trio of kids excitedly debated where to start their day. It was nice to see how happy T.I. made them. But for me, sitting in the “open air” plaza beneath a completely sealed dome felt like waiting out a significant delay at the airport. Polishing off some bacon, I realized I actually wasn’t beholden to air traffic controllers or freak storms. I could spend the twenty-four hours I’d planned to, but I could also leave. With a spring in my step, I took the long way back to my tent, pausing for one last look at the sea. I felt happier than I had the entire stay. I could have gotten one of the most coveted beach chairs under a palm tree in the sand. Instead, I settled the bill I’d racked up on my faceless money watch and breezed through the turnstile.
The self-proclaimed culinary capital of the Caribbean, Barbados doesn’t disappoint. For the ultimate foodie experience, travelers should time their visit to include the annual Barbados Food and Rum Festival. To understand the importance of rum to Barbadian culture, visitors will want to go to Mount Gay distillery. Founded in 1703, it has the distinction of being the world’s oldest rum producer, and visitors can learn all about its story. This magical island is also called “Land of Flying Fish,” due not only to the abundance of flying fish, but also to islanders’ mastery at deboning and cooking it. In fact, the national dish is Flying Fish and CouCou, a must-taste experience.
An island or isle is any piece of sub-continental land that is surrounded by water.[2] Very small islands such as emergent land features on atolls can be called islets, skerries, cays or keys. An island in a river or a lake island may be called an eyot or ait, and a small island off the coast may be called a holm. A grouping of geographically or geologically related islands is called an archipelago, such as the Philippines.

Indian women wear bikinis when they vacation abroad or in Goa without the family. Despite the conservative ideas prevalent in India, bikinis have become more popular. In summer, when women take up swimming, often in a public space, a lot of tankinis, shorts and single-piece swimsuits are sold.[121] The maximum sales for bikinis happen in the winter, the honeymoon season.[121]

This is not a wow beach but not a bad beach. It's a beach and a big one. Found my way here in a Sunday after a morning run. It was a nice enough beach to take the time to enjoy. A lot of surfers enjoying the sets rolling in which made it relaxing. It is a nice long stretch and people let their dogs off leash to enjoy it as well. So if you don't like dogs I suggest not going here.

I found this just before a snorkeling trip to the Caribbean and I was extremely happy with it. Everyone was asking me where I got it. For the first time in 3 decades of snorkeling I had no salt water in my eyes or nose or mouth! Wonderful. It takes a little more effort to get it on the first time, but the snorkel comes off for travel and it has a float to keep the water from entering your mask if you submerge. Greatest invention yet!

Good call on Canggu! I worked from Dojo in October and I’m planning to return in March after the rainy season. I loved the atmosphere there and I instantly met so many awesome nomads. Canggu is definitely a better spot for digital nomads than Kuta, which I didn’t like either. I also really like Ubud but the traffic there is a little too crazy and it’s hard to walk anywhere.

The northern end of Ocean Beach was dominated in the early 20th century by the Wonderland Amusement Park, which opened on July 4, 1913 and was constructed on eight oceanfront acres at Voltaire and Abbott streets. It boasted a large roller coaster, dance pavilion, menagerie, roller skating rink, merry-go-round, children's playground, a petting zoo with a variety of animals including 500 monkeys, and 22,000 lights outlining the buildings. However, Wonderland went bankrupt in 1915 due to competition from the Panama-California Exposition in Balboa Park and was sold at auction. It closed in 1916 after winter storms damaged the roller coaster.[8] The name "Wonderland" lives on in some Ocean Beach business names as well as the title of a documentary series on KPBS television hosted by Ocean Beach native Noah Tafolla.[9]

But the faux-tropics didn’t offer anything like the sunbaked warmth of the real tropics. Instead, the steady heat and lack of fresh air made me feel as if I were being slowly microwaved. Over lunch, I Googled things like “How long do flamingos live in captivity?” and “What do you call a group of flamingos?” A flamboyance of flamingos can live up to fifty years in captivity, and T.I. added theirs only seven years ago. Meanwhile, I’d been inside the dome for a few hours and was already craving an exit plan.
Underwater photography has become more and more popular since the early 2000s, resulting on millions of pictures posted every year on various websites and social media. This mass of documentation is endowed with an enormous scientific potential, as millions of tourists possess a much superior coverage power than professional scientists, who can not allow themselves to spend so much time in the field. As a consequence, several participative sciences programs have been developed, supported by geo-localization and identification web sites, along with protocols for auto-organization and self-teaching aimed at biodiversity-interested snorkelers, in order for them to turn their observations into sound scientific data, available for research. This kind of approach has been successfully used in Réunion island, allowing for tens of new records and even new species.[68]

Bait Reef has some of the most eye-popping coral formations in the world. Most famous are The Stepping Stones, made up of nearly 20 flat-topped pinnacles lined up like soldiers in formation on the southwest side of the reef. Each rises from a depth of 80 feet and stop only three feet from the surface. They are completely covered with coral. Be on the lookout for the small tropical fish that swarm around the tops of the stones.
Hi Kyle, thanks for sharing such valuable information, it is exactly what I was looking for. My husband and I are considering spending a year in 2 beautiful destinations. He picked Ambergris Caye and I picked Lombok. We ‘just’ need affordable accomodation and a decent Internet connection. I see you have visited both places. How was Internet in Caye Caulker? Do you think it will be a problem in Lombok? Thanks so much!
The ocean’s most impressive creatures spend most of the time at depths, that are often only accessible to scuba divers. However, in the case of the Galapagos, there is iconic marine life that feasts on nutrient-rich reefs found all throughout the archipelago. Take for example, the Galapagos green turtles, which nest on the beaches and are a frequent sight at most snorkeling sites (December to March is a great time to see pregnant females very close to shore). Blacktip reef sharks also love the shallow coastal waters. While they might appear threatening at first, these small and sometimes inquisitive sharks are very safe to swim with and make for some beautiful moments in the water.
There are two parking lots and they tend to fill up fast on weekends, so you might have to settle for on-street parking near here. The Ocean Beach Bike Path runs inland along the river from here for bikers and runners. The extreme north end of this beach is called Dog Beach and it’s overrun with happy pooches. To get here, take the Ocean Beach Freeway (I-8) west to the end then follow Sunset Cliffs Boulevard to West Point Loma Blvd which ends at the beach.

The gateway to this proud and independent Polynesian island nation, Upolu packs in something for everyone. It’s that stereotypical tropical island – where waterfalls seem to be cascading from everywhere, where white and black sand beaches are a thing of the norm, and where the unique Samoan culture can be experienced firsthand. It’s also one of the most affordable South Pacific destinations – as simple or as luxurious as you want it to be. From the colorful markets of its capital city Apia, to the laid back beach fale accommodations on the dreamiest of its beaches, to the natural pools that appear as if taken straight out of a fairytale – your vivid memories of beautiful Samoa will last for eternity.
Located in the middle of the Indian Ocean, the Maldives is a chain of 1,000 islands (200 are inhabited, and only 5 have any substantial population). The country is actually just a series of coral atolls that are barely above sea level. During the 2004 Tsunami, many of these islands were completely washed away. The government has built flood barriers to help lessen the impact of any future tsunamis.

Having a good snorkeling experience is partly about expectation. Why are you going snorkeling? Why do we snorkel? We do it for many reasons, but the primary reason is joy. Snorkeling is about the joy of watching and appreciating the beauty of the underwater world. If you have no interest in the natural world, snorkeling is probably not for you. Snorkeling is less a physical sport, and more a meditation. Learning how to relax, allowing yourself to be completely supported and held by the salt water, being in the moment, experiencing all the movement and life around you, that is what snorkeling is about. For us, snorkeling is therapeutic. And with experience being in the water feels like home. Most of all though, it is fun.
Despite the garment's initial success in France, women worldwide continued to wear traditional one-piece swimsuits. When his sales stalled, Réard went back to designing and selling orthodox knickers.[67] In 1950, American swimsuit mogul Fred Cole,[38] owner of mass market swimwear firm Cole of California, told Time that he had "little but scorn for France's famed Bikinis."[68] Réard himself would later describe it as a "two-piece bathing suit which reveals everything about a girl except for her mother's maiden name."[69] Fashion magazine Modern Girl Magazine in 1957 stated that "it is hardly necessary to waste words over the so-called bikini since it is inconceivable that any girl with tact and decency would ever wear such a thing".[9][38]
I first saw a similar type of mask in some Jason Bourne movie, and I was highly interested in it. The Super Snorkel is very stylish and gives you a great viewing of underwater life. Not only does it look cool, but it is very comfortable also. Takes a few quick adjustments to get it sitting ideal and then its off to the (underwater) races. The perfect tweaks make it so no excess water enters. One final thought, you can be sure that this isn't some cheap convenience store mask purchase, this is quality through and through and you won't be disappointed with the purchase.
The Island of Jamaica in the West Indies is the ultimate vacation destination for the package tourist. But head out from behind the gates and you will discover a country filled with rich culture, fun activities and friendly and inviting people. And yes, the beaches are absolutely beautiful. Jamaica is so large, we captured many beautiful pictures of this tropical island. It was difficult to choose a favourite.
I would recommend living on the beach in Srithanu (that’s where I lived and I really liked it). You can stay inexpensively at Shangri-La at the south end of the beach or ask at the Monkey Bar beside there if Kai has any places available. He rents a number of nice houses overlooking the ocean outside of town. Both those places have really fast Internet which I’m sure you will need! All the best deals can be found by going there and asking around. The stuff online usually charges tourist prices.

There is a difference between islands and continents in terms of geology.[8][9] Continents are the largest landmass of a particular continental plate; this holds true for Australia, which sits on its own continental lithosphere and tectonic plate (the Australian plate). By contrast, islands are either extensions of the oceanic crust (e.g. volcanic islands), or belong to a continental plate containing a larger landmass; the latter is the case of Greenland, which sits on the North American plate.
Women in athletics often wear bikinis of similar size as those worn in beach volleyball. Amy Acuff, a US high-jumper, wore a black leather bikini instead of a track suit at the 2000 Summer Olympics.[198] Runner Florence Griffith-Joyner mixed bikini bottoms with one-legged tights at the 1988 Summer Olympics, earning her more attention than her record-breaking performance in the women's 200 meters event.[199] In the 2007 South Pacific Games, the rules were adjusted to allow players to wear less revealing shorts and cropped sports tops instead of bikinis.[200] At the West Asian Games in 2006, organizers banned bikini-bottoms for female athletes and asked them to wear long shorts.[201]
As purveyors of fine high-style swimwear, Luli Fama has a broad assortment of flattering, stylish crochet swimwear to celebrate this trend. Crochet bikinis are excellent for beach-goers who love a little bit of a feminine, boho flair. They also provide a similarly sexy, on-trend look as lace bikinis but bring a little bit more softness. We have all the coveted crochet pieces for your next trip to the pool or beach, including sweet crochet swim cover-ups.

VacationIdea Tip: Look for off season specials and less expensive island getaway destinations such as Jamaica or Curacao where you can get a room with sea views for under $100. Top luxury tropical vacations include private island resorts in Fiji, five star getaways in Bora Bora, beach hotels in Hawaii, Thailand, Maldives and Australia. These islands are located within 23.5 degrees north and south of the equator.

You may think that crochet is just boho chic textile, but thanks to the hottest designers in swimwear, there's more to the fabric than flower crowns and #dumpsterfyres . Modern designs use silicone rubber in the mouthpiece and one-way clearing and float valves due to its resistance to degradation and its long service life. Natural rubber was formerly used, but slowly oxidizes and breaks down due to ultraviolet light exposure from the sun. It eventually loses its flexibility, becomes brittle and cracks, which can cause clearing valves to stick in the open or closed position, and float valves to leak due to a failure of the valve seat to seal. In even older designs, some snorkels were made with small "ping pong" balls in a cage mounted to the open end of the tube to prevent water ingress. These are no longer sold or recommended because they are unreliable and considered hazardous. Similarly, diving masks with a built-in snorkel are considered unsafe by scuba diving organizations such as PADI, BSAC because they can engender a false sense of security and can be difficult to clear if flooded.
Nearly twice the size of all the other Hawaiian islands combined, the snorkeling on Big Island is fantastic, especially at Honaunau Bay, also known as The City of Refuge, with an historic backdrop to boot. Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historic Park has smooth lava rock flats to help you ease effortlessly from shore to sea into year-round crystal-clear water, and you'll find healthy coral gardens teeming with tropical fish, moray eels, and even turtles in shallow depths to the right. Spinner dolphins frequent deeper waters to the left.

Purposes Recreational purposes, including cave diving, wreck diving, and ice diving. Professional purposes, including for civil engineering, underwater welding, offshore construction or for military purposes. Recreational purposes include observing fish and algae and coral reefs especially in water bodies with minimal waves and warm waters; also interesting things to see near the water surface.
In 1993, Suzy Menkes, then Fashion Editor of the International Herald Tribune, suggested that women had begun to "revolt" against the "body ideal" and bikini "exposure." She wrote, "Significantly, on the beaches as on the streets, some of the youngest and prettiest women (who were once the only ones who dared to bare) seem to have decided that exposure is over."[91] Nevertheless, professional beach volleyball player Gabrielle Reece, who competes in a bikini, claims that "confidence" alone can make a bikini sexy.[208] One survey commissioned by Diet Chef, a UK home delivery service, reported by The Today Show and ridiculed by More magazine, showed that women should stop wearing bikinis by the age of 47.[217][218]

“A tropical sea, sandy beach and palm trees - this is written in a home page of Tropical Island. OK - there si no sea, just few pools with sweet water - 2 inside and L outside (in the winter time), wild river outside. In pools some atrrcations for small kids and some tobogans. most areas are tropical plants and trees, shops, automats, restaurans. Small part of area is wellness with some sanunas, possibility of massage(for extra payment of course). Sauna rituals are abut nothing . You will not receive towel , you must bring your own or pay for 3,5EUR to rent. You have to pay for lockable cupboard - capacity for 2-3 peoples (winter time). Sandy beach - sand was cold and wet. On the other side I must say that environment was excellent. Ok - my opinion - it wasd very nice to see this, but this is not aquapark , just overpriced botanic garden. My opinion is based on the experience of visiting in the winter.”
Monokini 1964 A monokini (also called topless swimsuit, unikini or numokini) is a women's one-piece garment equivalent to the lower half of a bikini.[142] Originally a specific design conceived by Rudi Gernreich in 1964, the term is now used to describe any topless swimsuit,[143] particularly a bikini bottom worn without a top.[144] An extreme version of the monokini, the thong-style pubikini (which exposed the pubic region), was also designed by Rudi Gernreich in 1985.[145][146]

Full buyout of this uber-luxe, beyond-chic private isle includes all 24 villas for a maximum of 72 guests -- perfect for that simple little destination wedding you've been planning with your fiancé, Richard Branson. (Then again, you’d probably just get married on HIS private island, Necker Island, in the BVI.) The good news is that this rate is all-inclusive of accommodations, meals, beverages, a welcome spa treatment for each guest, most activities (including a submarine excursion!), golf, etc. The only thing it does not include are transfers from the Nadi airport, select off-island activities, additional spa treatments, and your soul.
Quito’s got great public transport, but you can also walk most of the city. I first lived in Historic Center – a part of town that’s completely walkable and the food and drinks are cheap ($2-3 dinners that come with chicken, rice, potatoes, vegetable, soup of the day, and a juice of the day). Then I moved to Inaquito part of town which has the shopping malls and movie theaters. You lack for nothing there, but it’s slightly more expensive for meals and drinks. $7-10 range, although I ate way too much shawarma on that side of town for about $3/meal. I loved that side of town because i was adjacent to Parque Carolina which spans a few city blocks. Not a day went by that I didn’t exercise at or visit that park.

During the day, we walked down the hill from Land's End (couldn't hike it since it was closed off due to the govt shut down) passing the Cliff House. On separate visits, I was able to enjoy the sunset and long walks along the water. This isn't something I do often (or ever, tbh) since NY beaches are pretty filthy and cannot compare at all. If you're lucky, you'll get to see all of the sand dollars on the shore.

When it comes to shopping in OB, don't miss The Black, a smoke shop that is also a neighborhood institution. Kind of a head shop/novelty/record store, The Black is like going back in time to the hippie decade. Ocean Beach Antique Mall on Newport Avenue is where to go for unique vintage finds and home goods. Sunshine Daydreams is a little boho-chic clothing boutique, and the Black Bead is a mecca for jewelry hobbyists.
Welcome to Ocean Beach, a small beach community a few miles northwest of downtown San Diego. OB is about as unpretentious as San Diego beach living gets. Sunny days are punctuated with the occasional jet roaring overhead, the barking of happy dogs partying at Dog Beach, and waves pounding the coastline of Sunset Cliffs. It's a place where Halloween and New Year's Eve are high holy days, and the O.B. Chili Cook Off, the Christmas Parade, and the 4th of July fireworks show are annual traditions.

Hard to get to, but well worth the effort, the Bazaruto Archipelago of Mozambique keeps us visiting and dreaming. Barely 22 miles off the east coast of Africa, this group of six islands (Bazaruto, Benguerra, Magaruque, Bangue, Shell, and Santa Carolina) continue to top our "must-visit" list of places in the world. The entire area was declared a National Park in 1971 and hosts a plethora of snorkel and dive opportunities.

The Park and Ocean Railroad ran along Lincoln Way on the south edge of Golden Gate Park and then turned north into the western end of the Park along La Playa Street. This standard-gauge railway began service on 1 December 1883 using four locomotives built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in November 1880 for the Central Pacific Railroad but lettered Market Street, Park & Cliff Railroad. These four 0-4-2T (tank locomotives) (C/N 5357, 5357, 5375 & 5377) were joined by four 2-4-2T Baldwins (C/N 7201, 7203, 7238 & 7243) built in March 1884. When the line was electrified in 1900, locomotive #1 went to the Mendocino Lumber Company, three of the 2-4-2Ts went to Canadian Collieries, and the remaining four became Southern Pacific Transportation Company numbers 20, 21, 22 and 80. Number 20 was preserved at Travel Town Museum in 1954.[8]

Amazing views! On the map Ocean Beach doesn't look like much, but when you get there it's bigger than you think. It's a pretty amazing view, especially if you get there for the sunset, which I did. It's no LA though. It has great waves if you're a surfer. Obviously colder in the winter. The smell of fresh ocean air is so calming and warming. However, it is usually packed. There's tons of tourists and locals. Barely any parking.

Surrounded by the second-largest coral reef in the world, it’s no surprise that this tropical destination is primarily visited by diving and snorkel enthusiasts. There aren’t many islands left in the Caribbean that you can visit without being shoulder-to-shoulder with tourists. Roatán has managed to hold onto its authentic charm while still being able to provide familiar western comforts. Cruise ships didn’t start coming here until 2005 and there aren’t a whole lot of flights to the area, which means the secret isn’t out quite yet, though this may change quickly as more people continue to flock to this 35-mile stretch of gorgeous Caribbean coastline. If you’ve never heard of Roatán, consider yourself lucky and put it on your list of tropical places to visit sooner than later.
You can definitely find really fast Internet in most of these places but you’ll have to go there and spend a lot of time looking for the right place (and probably pay extra for it). If you’re looking for 30 Mbps download I doubt you’ll find that anywhere outside of a major city. When I’m house hunting I always use the Speed Test app on my iPhone to see if the Internet is up to snuff.

Mannn this two piece was everything! As everyone else stated, it has no lining and that's NO issue until you get the water. This is perfect for beach or pool events where getting in the water isn't a big deal. It's still cotton so when the water hits the top, it gets heavy and stretches naturally making it hard to maintain. But again, It's really cute and it fit me really well. Very flattering too. Just have a back up top.

As a result of a short period with an unusually high number of snorkeling deaths in Hawaii there is some suspicion that the design of the masks can result in buildup of excess CO2. It is far from certain that the masks are at fault, but the state of Hawaii has begun to track the equipment being used in cases of snorkeling fatalities. Besides the possibility that the masks, or at least some brands of the mask, are a cause other theories include the possibility that the masks make snorkeling accessible to people who have difficulty with traditional snorkeling equipment. That ease of access may result in more snorkelers who lack experience or have underlying medical conditions, possibly exacerbating problems that are unrelated to the type of equipment being used.[62]
